7. Lake Myvatn, Iceland (North of the Wall)
The shallow eutrophic lake is situated quite close to the Krafla volcano and has been, in reality, made as a consequence of a colossal volcanic eruption some 2300 decades back. The surrounding land contains wetlands, a rootless port in addition to lava columns. There’s a marathon that occurs in summertime, around the lake since 2000. It is worth noting that the lake is just one of those few places on Earth in which Marimo, a species of filamentous green algae, develops.
