10 Feminist Celebrities That You Should Know
8. Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie grabs a spot on our list. The celebrity delivered a speech at the African Union Summit in 2015, where she spoke about the importance of women’s rights nationwide.
According to her, there’s a global outbreak of violence against women, both inside battle zones as well as in peaceful societies. These acts are still treated as a lesser offence and with least priority. She further explains that there is a need for long-term safety policies centred on girls, made by the women and executed by girls – not at the cost of men but by being with them.
She further continued, “There is no greater pillar of stability than a strong, free and educated woman. And there is no more inspiring role model than a man who respects and cherishes women and champions their leadership.”
7. Mark Ruffalo
Mark Alan Ruffalo is among the best Hollywood actors and the most well-known feminist celebrities. He’s also a social activist and a very outspoken feminist. He’s got several awards and nominations to his name. He once stated, “If you smile to your cutesy hint about how you are not a feminist, you ignorantly spit onto the holy battle of the previous 200 decades.” The actor also shared his mother’s abortion story in support of a woman’s right to choose.
