7. Ian Kevin Curtis

English musician, singer-songwriter Ian Kevin Curtis has been the lead singer and the lyricist of the group Joy Division. The majority of his functions revolve around isolation, emptiness and a feeling of desolation. The group had set out just two records, specifically, the Unknown Pleasures and Closer. It had been through the tour of the next record that Curtis decided to commit suicide. Curtis suffered from depression and epilepsy and so, took his life in 1980. He had been renowned for his baritone voice, amazing dance styles and song composing that was full of emptiness and alienation. No further explanation on Curtis’s departure was granted, except the fact he hung himself.
